i suppose that your questions are completely valid. Lord knows, i've asked
myself the same ones, for years, even. philosophy is not my a.o., i have
often thought that a good, swift, kick in the arse would be a motivating
force, to be sure, but after a long, long, time, i am at my near-wit's end.
the guy, upon hearing that i was gonna re-roof my house [while on vacay]
showed up w/tools [&experience], put in 2 long days, 4 free, unasked. he's
also been asking about the state of my barn [pretty, uh, saggy, i gotta
say]. what i CAN do, is build bikes. maybe they ain't pretty, but they
motor real well, and maybe it won't change anything as far as this guy goes,
maybe i'll kick myself for even bothering, but still, this ambo NEEDS to be
put back back together! i can't ride more than 1 bike: i don't even want to,
ya know? xcept 4 guzzi rallys , or waiting 4 ian to show up, i have NEVER
heard a goose tooling along, maybe coming up my road.
yeah, i'm selfish, what's new? it prolly won't help tom, but it will help
me, ya know? [boy, we sure got deep, here, huh?] anyhoo, i maybe haven't
said lately that i admire and apreciate ALL ya'll, very much. better folks
do not exist.

course I hope this project will help your buddy....
But what makes you think a ridable Ambo is
gonna get this guy back on track?
Sounds like he may need something more German...
like Freud.....(I know some of you were thinking BMW).
Your efforts are admirable, but maybe misplaced?
Please don' t misunderstand me, I really feel for this
