Can't recommend that as that part of the frame wasn't meant to be stressed
like that.

Hi,
Today I just got around to replacing the front crank seal. While Ichecking the rest of the bike over I noticed the generator was loose. Ibarstock
bought this bike on Ebay and didn't know that the mounting pads had been
repaired. It looked like a good job however the piece of aluminumthat was welded to the block has cracked loose from the welds. I justcan'tface having the engine down again to reweld this with the chance ofthe
distorting the lifter bores. I have heard of mounting an alternator fromframe or maybe somehow fastening the generator to the frame. If anyonehasany details I sure could use the help.
