those bikes have been on their for awhile and they are quite rare. I think
someone in Europe sold off a collection. Guzzi may have even sold them out
of their collection to get some cash up as they have been on the site off
and on before the Aprila buyout. As for the loops, with the growing
popularity of Guzzi and their push to get back into the market as a main
player, I would guess the loops would go up in value, as more people become
familiar with the bikes and the demand will increase. The new Cali's and
EV's are nice but they just do not do anything for me. It is like
something is missing in them that the loops have. I guess you could call it
soul ? Dont get me wrong, they are nice bikes but for the price of them I
could buy a nice LeMans I and a Loop and have the best of both worlds. I
herd someone at the 2000 nationals make a comment that the older riders are
not supporting the new bikes. Well for me, my answer is My Eldo will do
everything a new EV will do. Maybe not as fast, or smooth but it will get
me from point A to point B while riding on one of the most beautiful bikes
ever made ( why were their not any at the Guggenheim ?). Besides BMW what
other make of bikes made from 69-74 do you still see on the road as much as
the loops.
One thing to think about though is with the increase in bike values their
will probably be a increase in part prices new and used. My brother in law
has seen this with his Indians, He has 8 and bought them in the 70's when
they were affordable. Now that they are getting in the 20's for a Chief,
parts have went through the roof for them. One thing I love about the
loops is they are a affordable classic. I think the loop values will go up.
It seems since I bought my first one 8 years ago, the prices have went
from the 2,000 - 3,000 dollar range for a decent one to 3,000 - 5,000 for
them. That is just going buy ebay prices and others on the Net.

Hey All,
Has anyone been over to Cycle Trader in the last little while? There is a
guy that is advertising old Moto Guzzis (Dondinlignos, etc....) for around
$50,000.
Does this mean that the Loops will be worth that eventually? :-)
Regards....Ian
p.s. I was watching a re-run of a Friends episode today. A red and white EV
was pictured in the background. Pretty cool to see our marquee on TV. I
just
wish it was a Loop instead :-)
