Hi I, been riding Guzzis since I was in highschool 22 years ago. But got
married and the bikes faded away
in storage room in Augusta 10 years of parts and 3 complete bikes stolen all
Ambasadors. Well 15 years later
I am starting over , still married of course. I now have a 72 Eldorado whith
a freshly built engine bored out to
1066cc's new sleeved jugs and pistons anyway. Everything was fine untill the
last ride home from work when
the transmission started acting strangely. The trans would shift up gears
with normal effort but would not shift down without a great deal of effort.
There is sufficient 80/90 wt oil. The clutch is not dragging. I have never
had trouble with a guzzie transmission before and don't know what to check
or adjust to correct this problem.
It did take me a while to get used to a five speed though. If anyone has any
suggestions the help would be appreciated.
