I recently changed the tranny oil on my Ambo. When replacing tranny drain plug screw it just kept turning. It seems it has been stripped for a time. I did notice that not much oil came out of the tranny when I drained it, only about half a quart but it was pretty clean. How can I fix this stripped drain screw problem? Should I put in a time sert/thread repair insert? Or should I retap the drain hole to a larger ize and put in an oversized drain plug? Also, do you use Blue Locktite on these plugs?
Thanks. Bob Hawkes
