While waiting for Gary to make up the correct tools, you may want to try a
very inexpensive plumbing wrench I found at Home Depot. It is U shaped
spanner wrench, gives purchase at two points 180 degrees apart, and took
very little work on the bench grinder, making the tabs flat to fit the
nuts, to give me a tool that fits my exhaust nuts very well, and allows me
to tighten them without damage. Not even 30 minutes total work, as the
initial shape is very close. Total cost was less than $8.00. Also have
since seen them at ACE hardware.
Not of the quality that Gary can manufacture, but has worked very well for
me, and until I can get a better one, is much better than damaging the
nuts. I would not suggest this for breaking loose extremely tight exhaust
nuts, but worked very well for installing my new nuts, and keeping them in
check.
