Subject: (MGCL) Ring and Pinion
Anyone that's on the loopframe list, please forward this for me. Thanks.
I recently was in the market for a replacement set of rear drive gears for
my 850T. I bought a couple of sets thinking I'd use the best ones that were
the closest ratio to stock.
So I have some extra. The gears in question are for an Ambassador. They
are not new, but in very good condition. I'll let them go for what I paid
another lister- $250 + shipping. I'll even put them in some original Guzzi
bubble wrap inside the box. Agostini sells the same gears new for almost
$300 shipped.
I have another set from a T3, with the pinion assembled with the roller
bearings, and the ring assembled to it's carrier. Excellent set, in
extremely good shape. They will probably be a direct swap not only for the
T3, but for subsequent non-Convert models as well, but consult your
Guzziology.
I got these from HDGoose (this list), he was kind enough to sell them to me
at a very reasonable price. I forget the exact amount (included LSR
T-shirt), but I'll let them go for $100 + shipping, again, with some Italian
bubble wrap.
Either set is worth the money, I just got lucky and scored a NOS set that I
put in. No need to keep the extras.
