I use a throttle rocker. A 10 buck plastic hand rest that clips on the
throttle grip. Used it on my Ambo this summer. Very nice, cheap and removes
in an instant

The cables point down. the throttle cables also have metalic cable guides close to the throttle housing that direct the cables toward the front of the fuel tank. My throttle is stiff and snaps back quickly. I've been thinking about reducing the esprings to help.
