I have a feeling Mark feels the internet impersonal, cold, and maybe
unprofessional. He'd probably rather talk face to face (or at least voice
to voice). Also (and more importantly) it is best to talk at length about
the problem/parts/etc. because that is the best way for both parties to
really understand what needs to be done/bought/etc. For instance, if I
e-mailed Mark that I needed venturis for some VHB 30s, I'd get the right
part....but odds are I really needed a set of venturis that have the flanges
lathed off so my K&N's or UNI's would fit them. With e-mail it can take so
long to get replies back and forth sometimes, I'd much rather make a $1
phone call to make sure I got the right part/advice/etc. Besides he's a
pretty entertaining character to talk to.

I do much of my book and parts buying this way. With a Triumph, e-mail is a lot cheaper than calling Nova Scotia, New Zealand, Illinois, Florida or California. Just curious, Mark. Mark is a master of wrenching on Guzzi's, but typing e-mail for him is like most of us trying to fix our own bikes.....a time consuming mystery. ----- Original Message ----- From: K. I would prefer to change out the one fork lower and whatever is necessary to run the brake cable(s). I wonder whether the axle needs to be changed and/or whether the brake stays are different, and thus both lowers would need changing.
