With regard to bore & stroke changes to engine output, an increase in
stroke will increase low end torque; more torque but at a lower rpm. An
increase in bore will yield more hp by generating more torque without
shifting the rpm of the torque peak downward.
My experience with riding loop frames is a half hour ride on a well
used Ambo with a Velorex chair & 200 lb. passenger, and a 50 mile ride I
took last Tuesday night on an Eldo with 9000 original miles on the clock. My
conclusion is they have comparable grunt, any advantage with the Eldo was
due to the flexibility afforded by the 5 speed gearbox. Both are great
rides!
If you want either of these machines to make power, get the rpms up
above 4000. The bore to stroke ratio on both these machines is way
oversquare (bore larger than stroke) and they like to rev. The perfect
primary balance afforded by the 90 deg. V configuation keeps the vibes at
bay and things seem perfectly happy spinning up to amazing speeds.

Just my 2 cents worth.
