Tom,
Glad to hear you and Gary got home ok.
My pleasure, Ian. I think we all would have been a bit hungry trying to share the salad and rolls. Next year I have to find a way to pack a cooler so that provisions can be picked up earlier in the day. |
Well...if Phil was smart next year he would get a couple of big coolers,
dump in a bunch of pops and beers and pour ice all over them. Put a
cardboard box next to them and say $2 each. Very much like Keith does at the
Adirondak Rally. He would not only save us having to figure out ways to haul
in the beer (no bar on premises like WNYR) but could add a few bucks to the
rally coffers. In addition to this he could buy a few brats and burgers and
sell them too.
Don't get me wrong....I'm not complaining...it was a great rally. I'm just
thinking of ways that rallies can be made better for the attendies.
Cedar broke down, temporarily, in Toronto. The darned Dyna module went south on her. Fortunatly I had planned for just such a scenario. Pulled the quick disconect off the dyna, shoved it on the coil, and we were off and running again, better than ever. Gotta wonder if that wasn't part of the problem I was having getting the ol' gal going up the hill in the morning. |
Are you saying you have a Dyna ignition on Cedar? I didn't realize that.
He's OK, got a bruise down around his belt line somehow, but I think he was more embarassed than anything else. |
I know how he felt. At the WNYR I pulled up to the front on Sunday
morning...got off the bike and it promptly fell over in front of a crowd. A
very sickening feeling.
Regards...Ian
