And the reason the local hardware doesn't have them is that they
are.......METRIC!!! C'mon guys, it's an Italian machine and is 99.99%
metric. The American stuff just isn't going to fit the same way. Check
the web for suppliers of metric O-rings or call MG Cycle or any other
Guzzi dealer and you'll have the right parts.

Well, if you really want to DIY it, you could measure the OD of the cyl.stud with a piar of calipers (or a mike), subtract a couple of thou ( for it to "fit" over the stud snuggly), then measure the bevel that the oring fits into(for thickness), take all this up to the local hardware just to find out they don't have it. Screw that, I just order mine with the gaskets. |
