Well, if you really want to DIY it, you could measure the OD of the cyl.stud
with a piar of calipers (or a mike), subtract a couple of thou ( for it to
"fit" over the stud snuggly), then measure the bevel that the oring fits
into(for thickness), take all this up to the local hardware just to find out
they don't have it.
Screw that, I just order mine with the gaskets.

That is too easy. I've got to do it the hard way, and that way I also
learn more. If anyone has a new o-ring for this application and could
measure the cross section thickness I'd be most appreciative. Isn't
this a list of do-it-yourselfers?

That way you're sure.

Does anyone know the correct size o-rings to use for the cylinder and
cylinder head in a 72 850cc Eldo engine? I've looked at the -012(3/8ID
x 1/16CS) which looks too thin and the -110(3/8ID x 3/32CS) looks too
thick. To the best of my knowledge these are the only 2 reasonable
options.
