Dave, I wonder if the garden tractor battery might cause more corrosion
in the battery compartment area? Most of the garden tractor batts I've
seen are not vented with a hose to allow the routing of the corrosive
gas away from the bike. I use HD12 batteries for an FLH Harley, but they
present a small prob too because the "posts" are on the ends. I worked
around that prob by making a different hold-down. Just a thought. Ed in
Iowa.
