Best to go to a chrome shop that you have received good reports on from a
friend, or a restorer, etc. There is a difference in chrome shops.
Re-chroming done by a custom show chrome shop is far superior to factory
flash chrome. I have gotten new crashbars, for instance, that had rust
specks or blooms on them when I got them, because of the thinness of the
chrome. Show chrome will cost almost as much as new parts, but the quality
is much better.
