Any machine shop supply company will have splining bits (mcmasters.com or
travers.com and others) Don't know if they'll work on cast metal or not
tho'. Use a drill press, milling machine, bearing press, etc. to push the
bit through the hole to cut splines. No, the bit doesn't spin.
Hope this helps.

I have the big long floorboards (DB or so I am told they are called) and I was needing the shifter to go with these. I got one but it broke on the first shift as it had a hairline crack running thru the end where it fits on the shift shaft. To make a long story short, I have found a place to make me an exact copy out of cast aluminum like the original for relatively cheap. The only thing you would have to do is sand and polish it up to look nice and shiny and also drill and make the splines to fit on the shaft, and then drill and tap the hole for the nut to tighten it all down. Turn around time is great, I went in Monday and picked them up this morning. They are an exact copy. If anyone is interested, then let me know. I might even have them make some more floorboards too.
