Bob
I am looking at the shop manual. says 25 AMP in one table
another place titled Generator without regulator calls for 23 AMp at 2300
rpm.
last table refers to the regulator limiting current to the range of 28.5 to
30.5 AMP
Not sure what all this means. But there is no ref at all to 50 AMPS.
for what its worth
Pete

Hey Pete,
Thanks a lot for the info. Will keep it for future reference. Just about to
head out to the shed to button everything up and see if she stays together.
Also, my generator is registering as putting out 50 Amps. Isn't that high
for a loop? I thought they were supposed to be at 25 Amps. Bob Hawkes

There |
a part number on it 2161 12V N/P No other designation, the PO installed it and said it was from Ford. I've run mine over 1000 miles now and it seems to function fine. I believe I have the Marelli Gen. Glad to hear you got it fixed. I did go to local auto parts store and they had a regulator that looked right that fit a 63 ford |
only $20. But as luck would have it my problem turned out ot be a busted wire on the top of the generator, which I only noticed after taking tank |
and looking around. All fixed for now and THANKS! Bob Hawkes ----- Original Message ----- From: Pete Scheer <plsc-@tycoelectronics.com> To: <Loopfram-@topica.com> Sent: Tuesday, July 03, 2001 9:36 PM Subject: RE: Regulator
