I had the side covers off and looked around the regulator I have. There is
a part number on it
2161 12V N/P
No other designation, the PO installed it and said it was from Ford.
I've run mine over 1000 miles now and it seems to function fine.
I believe I have the Marelli Gen.

No problem got it all sorted out yesterday. I did go to local auto parts
store and they had a regulator that looked right that fit a 63 ford falcon,
only $20. But as luck would have it my problem turned out ot be a busted
wire on the top of the generator, which I only noticed after taking tank off
and looking around. All fixed for now and THANKS! Bob Hawkes
