Gads!
I thought I was the only Zappa head on here.
I'm gonna buy me a Goose...just about this big.
And ride it all along the border lines.
With a pair of heavy duty zircon encrusted tweeezers in my hand,
I'd feel mighty grand.
Heh-heh.

Hey All,

I was interested in hearing how JB started his bike....that is with
no
choke
and only a twist of the throttle to squirt some love juice into the
carbs.
Charlie I think you said you start it the same way?

As for me.....on both my bikes I set the choke about 3/4 and then
take my
hand right off the throttle. The bikes start right up. If I give so
much as
a hint of throttle then the bike floods and is tough to start.

I've never thought about trying to start the bike with no choke and
only a
twist of throttle. Would be interesting to see how the girls start
under
this procedure.

Of course this has no significance to Looper life but I always find
it
interesting to hear about the similarities in these old machines.

Regards...Ian

p.s. Andy....as I was writing this I could hear Frank Zappa's tune
"Dynamo
Hum" playing in the back of my head. Do you remember the song?

".....Couldn't say where she was comin' from but I just met a lady
named
Dynamo Hum.....She strolled on over said look her bum...I got a $40
dolla
bill says you can't make me....."

Love that song....and I hereby claim "Dynamo Hum" as my 70 Ambo's
name
:-)

And I do use my choke when starting up. Why? you might ask.
Because
the original choke lever is the only handlebar control that works
without having to move your hand off the grips.....
