If your mechanic wants to visit NC, I'd put him up for a bit in exchange for
making my bike start like that. If I try to start it with no choke, its a
five minute throttle twisting, carb popping fest til it warms up.

Well if you'll believe this, my mechanic got Cam's bike (74 Police Eldo)
all tuned up to perfection and it starts with no choke and no throttle,
just turn on the key, hit the button, and she comes to life and idles
perfect, both when cold and warmed up, amazing! Told him to get mine
running that good! We'll see soon.

And I do use my choke when starting up. Why? you might ask. Because
the original choke lever is the only handlebar control that works
without having to move your hand off the grips.....
