Hi All,
Promised Andy Hill I'd pass along this info. for him and anyone else
interested. I am using a halogen 1157 taillight bulb in my '69 Ambo with
good results. It's been in there a year now and is roughly twice as
bright as a regular 1157 (it's rated at 50/15 watts). Really helps to
increase your rear visibility to others. I bought mine from Dennis Kirk
(part no. 22-274, price is $8.99) but it's available from J.C.Whitney
(part no. 81DY0439B for $9.99, only 30/8 watts though) and I'm sure
others. One word of caution though, don't use one in any socket that is
plastic, it gets rather hot and will melt it's way out! Cheers,
