No point in riding to work for me since it is all Beltway to and fro. =
The morning would be fine but in the afternoon (especially Friday) it
could be 2 to 3 times longer (25-30 minutes door to door in the morning,
18 miles). But I do drive an Alfa Spider is 'almost' like a bike in
that no one sees you and you certainly can't see around SUVs!
But my wife and I get out on the weekends and go puttering around the
country roads in rural Montgomery County. And there is West 'by God
Virginia and Pa. roads which are really good.
Last time I was in the White House, I got to stay in the Lincoln
bedroom but this time Bush wouldn't let me in the door!

I lived in AZ for a couple of years, yeah it was hot and the drivers were worse than here but, in twenty minutes a guy could be 5000 feet up in the mountains with forests and nice roads. I'm sure Tom can attest to that. Sort of miss it. Guess my trip isn't comming up fast enough. What happens if you ride up to the gates of the White House? = |
