I had one of these kits, but lost track of it years ago. Maybe I sold it?
Maybe its burried in boxes of junk. Manufactured by a guy in L.A. no longer
in business. It was a cool idea but it looked a little bit Rube Goldberg and
made for a very loose feeling in the shift lever.

Remember, when the original spring breaks, there are two pieces. Most if it
says in place inside the rear cover. However, the broken bit falls into the
bottom of the transmission (hopefully). You must get that out or you risk
having it pulled up into the gears someday. Maybe you could drain the
transmission and magnet out the piece.

The only sure cure is to pull the engine and transmission and open the entire
transmision. I've heard that Mark can pull the rear cover in place, but it
might just be easier to yank the whole thing.

Strange that you broke two springs. I understood that shelf stock had a
slightly better design and would presumably last forever. Maybe you got a
very old NOS spring?
