Hey John
Sounds like you are having as much fun as I am with my 71
Just want to pass on something I noticed with mine when I got it last year,
The bevel gear connecting the rear drive to the rear wheel was bone dry and
I noticed some teeth had slight scoring. You may want to check this out
if you have not already.
Sorry I dont have a front cover for you. I heard you can make an origami
one out of aluminum foil though. Its the right color anyway !!
Hey Good luck

soon as some handlebars show up from a friend in Italy I'm going to put some miles on the '69 before I tear it apart to see what it needs other than cosmetic resto. So far I've rebuilt the carbs and petcocks, replaced the crusty cables, made up new ignition wires, freed up the front brake, and polished up the instrument cover, valve covers and GENERATOR BELT COVER (hi kev, no you can't have it). It runs strong, I can get rubber in 3 gears. Still looking for toolboxes for the '69.
