Hey All,

The two things Guzzis are famous for (and I am sure there are more) is the
clunky tranny and the neutral indicator light telling you that the bike is
in neutral when it isn't.

Hear hear. I run Beemers...but man these are clunky. *shrugh* they seem to
work okay. I was glad to hear that the loud whine in 4th wasn't just mine.

The neut lilght fooled a bud and he almost ran over me.

Funny but I laugh when people tell me that you can't trust the new bikes
neutral indicator. Makes me think back to the late 60's early 70's when new
owner's of Loopframes were saying the exact same thing.

By the way.....they say that the new Jackal Stone (due out in 2002) has a
new tranny...suppose to be smoother.

Regards....Ian

p.s. if you shift at a lower rpm the clunk is reduced to near zero.

I personnally prefere the 4-speeds, I love the whine of an Ambo at
highway
speed, I also prefere gear cam drive versus chain, those sounds combine
to
be music to my ears. Clunky? My EV is clunky, I'm just a cruiser, they
work
fine for me, and the clunk is over as soon as your in the next gear.
