Maybe retard the timing, but I'd try using the highest octane automotive gas
available (here it's Exxon or BP 93). Hope this helps!

I noticed that @ high speed and underload conditions I seem to get excessive pinging. The bike has 1000 cc jugs. I wanted to know if the pinging is caused by to high of compression. Should I use a compression lowering kit (thicker gaskets) or can the problem be handled by retarding the timing?
