Thanks for the info. Will check that out. Fortunately, if I make a spring
compressor, the parts will be free and the labor wil be free. My bandmate
(Three chord rock and roll forever!!!) and best friend is the purchasing
director for a large machine shop in my town. Materials would probably be
scrap they throw away. The head machinist does lots of "government work" so
labor would be free too. I'll check the D.K. catalog anyway tho' cos their
product will likely be better than my half-assed,
jury-rigged-contraption-that-may-possibly-cost-me-an-eye. ;o

I've never tried one, but looks like it should work well. If you factor in your labor cost (time) and materials it might be cheaper to buy than build. Just a thought.
