Richard,

I believe that the Provinces of Ontario, Quebec, and New Brunswick have a
reciprocal agreement with New York and Vermont. So that means if you get a
ticket in any of these states or provinces it will be sent to you through
the computer to your home residence. If you are from outside of these areas
I believe that they will make you pay on the spot.

Also...I believe that the cost for the tickets have gone up considerably.
Even with the exchange rates.

One more thing...if you have an outstanding ticket (that you may have
thought you got away with many years ago) this can prove to be a big hassle
when you cross the border. I remember a friend telling me that he was held
at US Customs and not allowed to travel to the US until he pay up a $50
ticket that he got in Texas a couple of years back. By the way...the ticket
price had grown to $300 by then.

I just thought I would mention that for anyone thinking of travelling to the
Ontario Rally this summer or tripping through Canada...eh? :-)

Regards...Ian

the currency exchange and the fact that there is no reciprocity for tickets
between the Maple leaf and USA, the low cost of speeding tickets - this all
does not hurt either
two years ago - I got two tickets 9 hours apart by RCMP
Saskatchewan in the morning( very large police woman officer , sir , ma'am)
and Manitoba -early evening - 120 klicks per hour - $40.00us and $30.00 Us
respectively

Thank you Richard
