Ian,
I think Harpers uses a lining from a fork lift. I don't know the
particulars but I do know that other shops have used similar types of
lining for Guzzis. The green Ferodo material on some of the stock shoes is
absolutely murder on a street bike. It was meant for racing and only works
at a very high temp. My brake had these on it when I got it and it didn't
work worth a hoot.
Go soft. A good brake shop should be able to advise you.
