Howdy all-
Just got my Eldo reassembled for riding, and the dang petcocks were leaking
around the threads. Tightened them up...still leaks. New washers...still
leaks. Then I discovered something...the threads are tapered! This is a
pipe thread configuration thet doesn't use washers.
After a quick call to my local Guzziphile to confirm this, I reinstalled the
petcocks without the washers. Whatdya know...no leaks!
I wish I had known this a long time ago...maybe it's common knowledge, but
it's a new discovery for me.
So, for anyone out there suffering throught the same problem that I have,
that's how ya fix it!
Now my inner seals in them will probably go bad...
