Hi Pete
Check to see if the brake itself is hanging up. The shafts and pivots get
crusty with age and will cause it not release correctly.
I rode my Eldo home this way when I bought it. At every stop I had to push
the brake arm on the drum with my toe to release it!

If I push the handle open by hand the brake will move a little more, but still some drag. I tried the obvious things like flushing the cable with wd40 and then squirting some light oil down the cable. It seems pretty free when I slide the cable with the ends unattached I read in the Tips booklet that a new cable was recommended for best brake performance. I believe this could be the original cable. Is it worth buying a new cable, or is this just a characteristic of the loop drums?? I dont have another loopframe in the neighborhood to look at. Looking for any input. Thanks a lot Pete --- Sponsor's Message -------------------------------------- Who Are the Top Dogs?
