Any tips for cleaning out a gas tank before a KREEM treatment? I have heard of using muratic acid, and small segments of light duty chain. By the way, the chrome on the tank is good, so don't want to do anything to hurt the finish. |
Muriatic acid works pretty well, but stinks and starts to rust
immediately. Phosphoric acid leaves a nice etched finish that is not as
likely to rust. Available in many cleaning supplies, also as milk stone
remover at a farm supply place near you..
