Keith,
Nothing in your grandparents basement eh?
I think Field makes reference to Premier in his book. I'm not sure if he
talks about their demise though.
I would be interested in hearing if there is any sign of the old place. A
worn out sign? A faded advertissment on the wall of a building? A back room
full of boxes covered with plastic? :-)
I looked on the cover of my Convert Workshop manual. Says "...Railroad
Street and Plant Road..." Ring a bell?
The early address for the company was P.O. Box 15, Leonia. The phone number
is 288-9685 if you want to give them a call :-)
I just looked on Yahoo maps using Plant Road and using the zip of 07604.
Pretty small street so you would be pretty darn close.
Let us know how you make out.
Ian

This message is for curiosities sake. I have seen Premier's name all over sales brochures, advertisements, & original Guzzi factory repair manuals, as well as in a few books I have read on Guzzi's. I found it very interesting that their hometown, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, is only 2 towns away from where I grew up, and is the same town my grandparents lived - small world. So what ever happened to them? I have never read anything other than they were the original importers of the Guzzi's, then they just seemed to disappear into thin air. Are they still around? If not, does anybody know their original address in Hasbrouck Heights? I'd love to stop by and see where the US Moto Guzzi's history all started next time I'm up visiting my brother.
