Pete,
I had the same question a while back. What I remember hearing was that the
"EP" on the 90 weight gear oil meant "Extreme Pressure" and it has Moly in
it....or it has something in it that acts in the same manner.
One day when I was browsing through the local auto place I saw this stuff
called "Molyslip". An additive for manual trannys. I picked it up and will
likely add a bit to the tranny since I assume it has moly in it.
I'm sure there is stuff in your area.
Ian
Hi All Where can I get some 90 weight gear oil with the Molybdenum additive? I read in the Tips booklet that this is recommended. The local shops |
the straight 80-90 weight oil but not with moly. Whats your experience? Is it really needed? Seems like it should be a standard additive to all high pressure lubes. Thanks Pete |
