Check the impedance (ohms) of the coil. It should be 5 ohms or so. Higher
= less spark voltage...lower = higher spark voltage.
Other than that, yes any 12v aouto coil should work.
I used a Bosch Blue Coil for an air cooled VW. Works very good and bolts
right on. Find em at JBugs or JC Whitney.
