Hi Richard, It is also helpful if you have saddlebags to push rearward with your leg. Lubricate the pivot bolts to make sure the centerstand works smoothly.

Step on the very bottom (back) of the stand. The part that touches the ground. If you do that, get a good grip on the crash bars and get your weight right the bike should roll up on the stand fairly easily.

Since my newly acquired Ambassador is a first 'loopframe' for me I just would like to ask one question? How in the heck can you put it on the centerstand? Is there a trick that is learned?
