Hi Richard,
It is also helpful if you have saddlebags to push rearward with your leg.
Lubricate the pivot bolts to make sure the centerstand works smoothly.

Hi Richard,
I struggled with my stand for a while and I got so tired of calling to the
girlfriend to help me pull it on the centerstand....kind of embarrasing in
public you know :-)
I finallly figured the trick.
Step on the very bottom (back) of the stand. The part that touches the
ground. If you do that, get a good grip on the crash bars and get your
weight right the bike should roll up on the stand fairly easily.
Regards....IanSince my newly acquired Ambassador is a first 'loopframe' for me I just
would like to ask one question? How in the heck can you put it on the
centerstand? Is there a trick that is learned?
