Since my newly acquired Ambassador is a first 'loopframe' for me I just
would like to ask one question? How in the heck can you put it on the
centerstand? Is there a trick that is learned? Do I need a 'Charles Atlas'
course? My buddy and I were on both sides and we couldn't get it on the
stand. It looks like it has never even been on the stand as the casting marks
are untouched and the paint is not scraped at all. Now I know why the first
owner put a 'ride-off' stand also on it. Speaking of ride-off stands, it and
a number of other things acquired with the bike will be going up to bid in
the near future. Anyone with any interest in any of this stuff E-mail me
privately and we can talk about it. I figure better to offer it up to you
guys who might be looking for something. What I have is as follows:
1) Windjammer II fairing with mounts for a loopframe. White with red/black
tape pinstripes. Good condition.
2) Wixom Ranger Bags and Top case. White with red/black paint pinstripes
and mounts. Bags have the rails and those elusive Lucas reflectors on them.
The top case has the rails on top and a backrest. I have the keys. Good
condition.
3) Luggage Rack to mount above top case. Chrome is in not great shape but may
come back with some elbow grease. I haven't tried.
4) Fiamm Two trumpet Air horn with compressor and brackets to fit loopframe.
Wires were disconnected when purchased so I don't know if it works but am
going to test. Might polish up nice.
5) Weird old Harley Davidson mirror mount. Attaches to mounts on Bar mounts
and bars. Has four mirrors on it. Two standard rectangle Harley mirrors and
two round ones with stick-on concave mirrors. The mirrors do not detach from
unit. Chrome in real good shape. Work good but look real strange without a
fairing to hide behind.
6) Spare four speed transmission. Don't know condition internally. I may take
apart to see and may just keep for spares.
7) Ride-off stand set up to fit loopframes. Works good if you don't mind the
looks. Chrome not so hot condition.
Not sure what any of this is worth. The bags may be best thing here and my
wife is mentioning that I should keep them for times we may travel together
(I can travel real light by myself).
I have scans of the bike with the stuff on it but you cannot tell much about
condition. I will photo nicely if I put on Ebay.
Anyway if interested in any of this stuff e-mail me and we can talk @
rzink-@aol.com or
rzi-@co.alameda.ca.us
Otherwise you will see it on Ebay.
