Hi Brad,

What is the serial number on the engine case (left side under the cylinder)?
You mught have one of those VERY RARE "A series" Ambassadors.....


 1. Should I restore to factory
colors? Is value decreased if not?

I personally think that a vintage bike restored to original is worth more
than a custom but what you want to look at is more important. I have seen
some pretty awesome custom bikes including Andy's pewter coloured framed and
green tank Eldo.

 2. motor turns over and looks very clean viewed from below w/sump off
and under rocker covers, should I overhaul or get it running the way it
is?

Have a good look at the cylinders. The walls were chrome lined which was
known to flake off. Other than that as long as the parts are within
toleranced then get the ol'girl running.

 3. how to clean and polish wheels and other aluminum parts?

Mother's polish and rub rub rub :-) I think Dave uses a buffing wheel but he
isn't really a purist like we traditionalists are :-)

 4. I need a speedo and housing!
