Subject: Ambo compression

Boy, that compression sounds low to me. I know old
VW's ran great with compression like that, but they
were fairly low compression engines to start with. My
Ambo has about 150 lbs on each cylinder, and my valve
have a lot of miles on them.
Of course, the difference in exhaust pressure and the
idle problems could certainly be carb-related (ie, not
synched well). Is your mechanic used to working on old
guzzis?
