The '74 California Special had finned retainers to cover these exhaust flange
nuts. Ostensibly they were to provide extra cooling sink for the exhaust
valves. I think mostly they were to keep the flange nuts from backing out.
I think they would retrofit to any early loopframe. I had them on my 73 Eldo
when I sold it.
