A very excellent question, I have only done 1 with steel linings, I used LA
Sleeve sleeves, and had them installed by my local machine shop. They did a
good job and all was well, except the dealer i bought the sleeves from
missguided me on the piston to cylinder clearance and it ended up being a
little to close, so I had to hone it and all is fine now, it's running
great and no problems yet. I know Guzziology tends to lean toward buying
new cylinders and pistons. One thing to consider is, no matter if the
sleeve makes your cylinder as good as new, you will still be running a used
and worn piston.
Anyone have any experience with sleeved cylinders, good or bad?
Those of you who have done them what clearances do you use? I ended up with
-2 thousandths to install the cylinders and 3 thousandths piston to cyl.

My Ambo needs new cylinders and pistons, and I need to decide how much money to spend. Does anyone out there a good set of pistons/cylinders for sale?
