I think you should coat the stanchions where they fit the triple clamps at
least. They seize in and can be an utter pigs to get out.
Actually I think there's a factory tool to remove stanchions, but I've not
seen one & they probably break like several of the other tools. It's Mr
Mallet for me!

Is this an old wive's tale or is it recommended and necessary? As I remember, the reasoning I heard was that it kept the springs from being noisy. Is that correct? Any feedback would be appreciated.
