use some laquer thinner on a rag to clean off the paint, then sand it with
some sandpaper, that should do it.

Received my new fork tubes from Forking by Frank and I am ready to slip
them in the lower triple clamps which are already on the bike.

There is some paint on the on the inside of the triple clamps due to
overzealous work with the rattlecan. Should I remove this paint? What
is the best way to prepare this surface for my new tubes. The old ones
were rusted in place.
