I rebuilt a New Old Stock Yamaha YHA 206 handlebar switch this afternoon. It may seem like a NOS item would not need rebuilding, but all the ~40 year old grease gets hard and nothing moves as freely as it should. Also, the internal electrical contacts tend to get glazed over. I completely disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, and reassembled the switch. Then I determined the color codes associated with each function (yet another variation from what I'd already documented). It is all ready to be wired up now.
