I was hoping that someone out there might be able to identify what model
bike my motor came from. The bike is a 1974 disc eldorado, but the motor
was swapped out years ago. The # stamped on the motor is VG-133863. I
was told by Paul L. when I registeredthe bike on the looplist that the
motor probably came off a tonti frame bike. I'd like to find out what
exact model bike so that I may deal with it properly. i have propbably
been tuning this bike (valve gaps) incorrectly all this time.
PS. One ailment i would like to shoot out there is The bike has just
started doing something weird. It idles fine. When I rev it in neutral
it revs fine. When I am in gear and suddenly give it alot of throttle it
bogs down. I am cleaning the K&N air filters, replaced the fuel filters,
adjust the carbs, checked the timing. I have also noticed some oil on
the right jug under the spark plug. It does not look like the head
gasket is leaking but there is oil on the fins above it. When I pulled
out the spark plug it had oil crud all over it. Any suggestions?
