I have seen "Maj" on the headstock plates before, so it's not a one time spelling mistake. I do believe that the 3 letter month abbreviation is something other than English. On the VIN plate-in the box above the year is "MAJ". I wonder if Guido made a typo and it should have been "MAY" As I stated, it is titled as a "74 and doesn't seem worth the fight to correct that.
