Yes, it was me who mounted the subject damper to Junkyard. I haven't
gotten any pics of it yet, as I don't have access to a digital camera. I
mounted the cylinder so it is oriented left-to-right under the triple
clamp. I can easily adjust the damper on the fly with my left hand. The
damper has seven positions from light to heavy and I have set mine to
the 3rd position up from the lightest. I am able to leave it in that
position for both around town and interstate riding, and has done away
with the high speed weave I was experiencing. I fabricated a bracket out
of 1/4" flat plate that bolted to the bottom of the lower triple clamp
and the other bracket mounts to to the L/H crashbar using a split collar
I sourced from a bearing house. I have a couple improvements I'd like to
incorporate to make it an easier "bolt on" set up. I have since
purchased some more material to make up a second set of brackets but I
have been too occupied this summer with home remodeling to do any more
work on it. I'll try to talk to my neighbor (who has a camera) and ask
Greg Bender to post the pics.
