I'm using them right now in my quest to have the year "corrected" from
1972 to 1971 so that the State of Florida will be happy. I tried to do
it through Minnesota (previously titled there), but they put the blame
on Kansas (because the bike had previously been titled there). Kansas
will not accept in out of state inspections, so I would have to ride the
bike there just to have it inspected by them. That was the straw the
broke my back. I gave up on the quest to have it fixed for $10 and a
little wait. $75 seems cheap now that I've been tossed from state to
state.
As for 5 digit VINS, first try calling back later - as you suggest. It's
likely you'll speak with a more knowledgeable person the second time
around. But, who knows? It is the DMV! You may end up speaking with
someone even less knowledgeable :>

Keith, For $75 you can get a new title done withhttp://www.its-titles.com/. Great folks and fast. They will send you a title in your name for the bike from their state and all you have to do is go to your DMV and get a new State title for Illinois. Easy as pie. :) Paul -----Original Message----- From: Keith K [mailto:kkurb-@aol.com] Sent: Thursday, August 04, 2005 2:04 PM To: Loopfram-@topica.com Subject: RE: VIN Identification Your free subscription is supported by today's sponsor: ------------------------------------------------------------------- Oreo's Take our Nationwide Oreo Survey.
