I met someone at the National in May that told me about his exhaust. He bought 6' of stainless straight pipe. Halfed it. Enlarged the ends, flared the tips and ran has Eldo that way. At low speeds it sounded fine. At speed it was loud....blap, blap blap....behind him.

I've seen people put off the shelf baffles in straight pipes with mixed results for sound and performance.

If you have the stock Lafranconi Frankfurters, remove the screw that
holds in the baffle on each muffler and pull out the baffle. The result
is a very nice throaty sound.
