I cut the bottom pad off and add an inch of tubing taken from an old side stand. I also replace the thin pad with one made from 1/8 or 3/16 steel. This way the bike doesn't lean way over when on its stand. I've done this on three loops and it's worked very well.

Hey John, I read in a recent MGNOC newsletter that you know something about improving the Loopframe side stands. How do you do this, extend the stalk or weld washers onto the bottom of the pad? Just wondering, Bob Hawkes
